Here is the completed stop animation film for one of my uni projects, Detritus. To make 1min 20secs of film I edited over 800 individual frames in Photoshop then animated them as image sequences using Quicktime Pro. Have new found respect for film editors, such a tedious enterprise, but well worth the effort.
The audio track on the clip is an edit of Portishead's, The Rip, from their Third album.

More Things That Don't Fall Down
Few shots of my plaster carving on display at the COFA show on Wednesday. Inspired by a kaleidoscope and all things Escher.
Why Things Don't Fall Down
Why Things Don't Fall Down
1st Year SPI student exhibition at COFA Space, Wednesday 6 October.
Here are some shots of my Primal Cavity work in action. Gallery visitors seemed to enjoy ensconcing themselves inside the womb room despite the humid conditions under the lighting system. Needless to say, with all the traffic the womb room interior was a tad on the nose by the end of the night. Some sort of ventilation system was suggested, a technical addition firmly out of my league.

Midnight Juggernauts - Lara vs. the Savage Pack
Back in July I helped out with the art department on the set of the Midnight Juggernaut's clip for Lara vs. the Savage Pack. Directed by Lucinda Schreiber and Beatrice Pegard, the project was my first encounter with stop animation production and I've been obsessed with the possibilities of the medium ever since. The clip was shot frame by frame, then re-shot using over 2000 printed pieces of paper. My trifling contributions to the video were a series of paper vomit constructions, a great deal of set dressing, and 5 seconds of fame as a psychedelic triangle holder. Enjoy!

Kyü Music Video
Spent the past week working on costumes and props for the music video for the Kyü track - 'Trains.'
Kyü is an experimental pop outfit from Sydney. The duo is Freya Berkhout and Alyx Dennison. Their music has been described as sounding like a tea party with Beethoven, Bowie, Björk and a Banshee. However you describe it, their music is completely awesome and I had a great time making the costumes and helping out on set.
The 'Trains' project was a low budget labour of love directed and produced by sisters Danielle and Alex Zorbas and shot over a 14 hour stretch in a living room in Surry Hills. Here are some stills from the shoot!
