Fun with FIMO
Have been busy making feet necklaces from FIMO for the UNSW Open Day markets in September. The moulding process is monotonous but has allowed me to sit on the couch and indulge my passion for ABC tv.

Primal Cavity - a thumb tongue connection
Sculpture project exploring the relationship between the tongue and thumb. The 'Primal Cavity' explores the infantile behaviour of thumb sucking and its connotations of security and auto-erotic compulsions. The vinyl, polyester wadding and cotton structure creates a womb-like environment for the wearer, enclosing them in a warm and safe flesh cocoon. To lull the wearer into a hypnotic state and soothe the distractions of external stimuli, a loop recording of a human heartbeat is played from within the cavity. Not to be worn whilst driving or operating heavy machinery.

Greetings
Hi all and welcome to the wonderful world of Betty Borehead and friends! I’m going to be posting pics of new drawings and various other projects I’m involved in, as well as some old favourites from my back catalogue. I’ll probably sneak in a few reviews and recommendations as well. Stay tuned!
